Celebrating the resilience of children and the strength of community, Brighter World invites you to join the 2nd Annual Garden Party! In the beauty of the Yampa River Botanic Park we will enjoy live music by Apple Pie & a Guy, delicious appetizers from Wilderbean Provisions, signature cocktails, and a silent auction all to support the critical work done at Brighter World.

“Our family is so thankful for the [Brighter World] that the interview process was very easy and comfortable. Our daughter felt very safe and able to open up to interviewers was a quick, smooth process, and we are happy to have had the resources we needed in this tough time.” – Caregiver of child interviewed at Brighter World

Your attendance at the Garden Party is a contribution to the health and safety of our most vulnerable community members. Your support will directly benefit those effected by abuse and neglect by providing them with a legally sound and developmentally appropriate forensic interview, and ongoing support and resources throughout the life of the case.

A CAC provides a safe and comfortable space for children who are involved in an abuse or neglect investigation, which greatly assists law enforcement and other services. Also, follow-up services offered through the CAC greatly assist those same children as they move from being victims to become ‘survivors’.

Child Advocacy Centers are designed to prevent a child from being re-traumatized by the systems that are supposed to protect them.

Having access to a local Child Advocacy Center is a requirement for any high-quality response to crimes involving children.  It is long past due for this jurisdiction to have a CAC that provides crucial services in one location close to the child’s home.
